New Beaches and Sandals Resorts in Jamaica

Plans are underway to open two new Sandals Resorts in Jamaica, as well as a new Beaches resort in Jamaica. The three properties are all on the northern coast of Jamaica and will offer exchange privileges for Sandals and Beaches guests.

The first property is Sandals Dunn’s River, which is an existing property that will be completely transformed. Surrounded by water, Sandals Dunn’s River will welcome guests with cascading waterfalls at the entrance.

This will be a stunning resort with amazing suites including the ultra-luxurious SkyPool Suites, which Sandals is bringing to Jamaica for the first time. There will be 48 of these incredible retreats, which are elevated and feature private plunge pools with an infinity edge that overlooks the Caribbean. (For a sneak peeks at these, check out the ones at Sandals Grenada.)

Other types of suites available among the 260 rooms will be 12 Swim-up Rondoval Suites, many of which will have rooftop terraces. These beautiful round villas (also at Sandals Grenada) feature vaulted ceilings and a private, walled-in outdoor space with patio and plunge pool.

Ten restaurants are planned at Sandals Dunn’s River, including the new Azuka Latin Fusion restaurant. Azuka will have a specialty rum bar, and there will be 8 other bars on the property.

Sandals Dunn’s River will also feature 7 pools, including 2 river pools, plus the full-service Red Lane® Spa.

Sandals Dunn’s River is expected to open around the end of 2022.

Sandals Royal Dunn’s River will be located just next door, allowing guests at either resort to enjoy the amenities, facilities, and activities of both with ease. It is slated to be a modern, luxurious resort offering 250 rooms and suites. Sandals Royal Dunn’s River is planned to open in 2023.

The third new resort in Jamaica will be Beaches Runaway Bay Resort, located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. This is also an existing property, and it will undergo a $250 million renovation before welcoming groups and families to its 300 spacious 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom suites. Guests here will have access to the championship 18-hole golf course at Runaway Bay Golf Club. This will be the third Beaches location in Jamaica when it opens.
