How Much Does a Sandals Destination Wedding Cost?

The first thing you probably want to know is, are Sandals weddings really free? Yes, they are, if you stay at least 3 nights in a Sandals Resort! The Beautiful Beginnings package (see below for details) offers a great wedding for nothing more than the cost of your room. (This package is good for up to 8 guests including the bride and groom.)

Of course, there are plenty of other wedding package choices and add-ons. You can spend as much or as little as you like on your destination wedding at Sandals. Theme wedding packages range from $1700 to $2900, and you can personalize them with all sorts of additional options.

Tip: None of the Sandals wedding packages include the mandatory government fees. These range from $95 in Jamaica to $325 for weddings in Barbados; your Sandals wedding planner will be able to tell you what the local fee is and how to pay it, as well as assist you with the necessary paperwork. (Good news—the islands where Sandals resorts are located don’t require any blood tests or medical exams to get married!)

What wedding packages are available at Sandals Resorts?

Sandals Resorts offers “Customizable Weddings,” with a range of packages that you can use as a base and then add options on to personalize your celebration.

If you stay at least 3 nights in any type of room, you can take advantage of the free wedding package: Sandals Beautiful Beginnings.

The Sandals free wedding package includes

• A personal wedding planning team
• Bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere
• 5×7 wedding photograph
• Two-tiered white fondant wedding cake
• Table settings
• Chiavari chairs
• Pre-recorded music for the ceremony
• 1-hour cocktail reception for up to 8 guests including bride and groom
• Reception table centerpiece
• A signature cocktail for the bride and groom
• Marriage paperwork
• A wedding gift
• $15 discount on spa services
• Romantic turndown service with flower petals on the first evening of your honeymoon
• Breakfast in bed with mimosas on any morning you choose for your honeymoon
• A honeymoon dinner with white-glove service and complimentary sparkling wine in one of the resort’s specialty restaurants.

If you stay 7 nights or longer, you get Premium Perks

• Up to $500 towards license and administrative fees
• $500 towards a room upgrade
• $200 credit on select photography packages
• $200 credit on certain videography packages or on an anniversary stay
• $100 towards your choice of scuba diving, snuba, candlelight dinner, or a private cabana.

If you book 5 or more guest rooms, you can add “Bells and Whistles” to your weddings such as tiki torches, a sangria bar, and a lobster wedding dinner.

You can also create a completely custom wedding celebration at Sandals by choosing from a wide variety of options and ceremony locations—including an incredible overwater wedding chapel (at certain locations; see below for details).

One extra you can add is the Kiss Me at Twilight package ($600), which ensures your ceremony will be held at that magical twilight hour and includes a unity sand ceremony.

Incentives for Destination Weddings at Sandals

Sandals consistently offer great deals on their websites for destination weddings and honeymoons at their resorts. You can check here for the latest offers. Promotions include the free wedding package when you stay 3 nights or more; premium perks when you stay 7 nights or more; a free room for groups (book 5 rooms and get the 6^th one free); and a room rate discount if you book 10 rooms or more.

A great incentive that Sandals offer is the Preview Your Wedding package. For discounted rates (starting at $250 per couple per night) you can stay up to 3 nights at the resort you’re considering for your wedding, look at venues, meet with a wedding planner, and go over menus and cake options. You’ll get up to a $1050 credit if you book your wedding there and have at least 5 rooms. This is an excellent way to make sure you’ve chosen the best Sandals location for you and to get a real feel for how your wedding there will be.

Sandals Destination Wedding Locations

There are 17 Sandals resorts, all located on stunning Caribbean beaches: 2 in The Bahamas, 3 in St. Lucia, 2 in Barbados, 1 in Antigua, 1 in Grenada, 1 in Curacao, and 7 in Jamaica.

While each location offers similar amenities and activities, there are some differences, especially when it comes to wedding options.

Which Sandals is the best to get married at?

It depends on what sort of wedding you want to have. Here are some of the wedding locations at the different Sandals resorts.

For the ultimate unique wedding experience, how about getting married on a secluded island? The private island at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica is a stunning setting for weddings. Just a short boat ride away from the resort, this beautiful spot has gorgeous white sand beaches and amazing amenities like a pool with a swim-up bar and a beautiful Asian-inspired restaurant. Daybeds shaded by thatched roofs are dotted along the beach. Imagine celebrating with your loved ones around a bonfire after the ceremony!

Do you want to walk down a glass floor aisle in a stunning overwater chapel, surrounded by 360-degree views of the Caribbean? Just four Sandals locations offer Over-the-Water Wedding Chapels: Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, and Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia.

Sandals also offer Over-the-Water Gazebos, at Sandals Royal Bahamian in The Bahamas, Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica, and Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia.

At Sandals Royal Barbados, you can get married on the Sky Terrace beside a rooftop pool, overlooking the sparkling turquoise sea.

Sandals Montego Bay offers the Intimate Resort Chapel, a secluded spot with a more traditional feel. A charming path through lush greenery and fountain pools leads to the white chapel, which features a vaulted ceiling, wooden pews, stained glass windows, and an elevated altar.

All Sandals Resorts except the Barbados location offer an open-air Oceanfront Gazebo overlooking the beautiful Caribbean.

Most Sandals locations offer a Garden Gazebo as well, which is tucked amid tropical gardens near the sea.

For a sophisticated setting, you can get married in the European Wedding Garden, featuring a white pergola surrounded by manicured lawns, beautiful blooms, and elegant water features. This is available at Sandals Emerald Bay in The Bahamas, Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, and Sandals Grande Antigua in Antigua.
