Best Sandals Chapel
Are you planning a destination wedding? or even a quick ceremony to elope? We took a look to see which Sandals have the best chapel to help you choose if you plan to stay at the same resort for your honeymoon.
The best Sandals Resort chapels are the over-the-water chapels are at Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay.
There is also a traditional chapel, perfect for catholic weddings, at Sandals Montego Bay.
The great thing about these locations is there are other Sandals resorts on the same island. That way you can stay at one resort and have your wedding ceremony, then go to another resort on the island for your honeymoon. They also have a variety of price points in the rooms available that allow guest some options based on their budgets.
Best Romantic Sandals Resort For Your Honeymoon
Sandals Grande Antigua has won the award for the Caribbean’s Most Romantic Resort by the World Travel Awards multiple times and even won the Most Romantic Resort in World in the past.
Located on Dickenson Bay, Antigua’s most famous beach, Sandals Grande Antigua offers two unique vibes for honeymooners. On one side of the resort is the Caribbean Beachfront Village with calm crystal clear water, perfect for water sports, or find some of the private day bed set-ups perfect for romance. Accommodations include romantic suites with private plunge pools surrounded by tropical gardens.
On the other side is a 6-star all-suite ocean-view village with amazing 180-degree views. Private villas are also available with a butler service. Enjoy 11 different restaurants and the 7 bars, giving you plenty of variety during your honeymoon.
Least Expensive Sandals For Honeymoons
For an affordable honeymoon at a Sandals Resort, you are going to want to go to an all-inclusive in Jamaica. The resorts are a little more affordable than other locations and you are likely going to save money on your flights. Here are three of the most affordable Sandals Resorts for your honeymoon.
Sandals Ochi – Starting at $234 per night per person
Sandals Ochi is the cheapest Sandals Resort and is perfect for a honeymoon at Sandals on a budget. Starting at $234, the Great House Luxury provides easy access to the resort’s best restaurants, bars, and amenities. Each room includes a personal balcony and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom. You’ll find Robert Mondav wines stocked and a refrigerator stocked with bottled water, juice, soda, and local beer.
Sandals Ochi has 11 bars (including the Caribbean’s first speakeasy), a hot new beach club, and 16 restaurants to enjoy. If you’re looking to enjoy a good time, this is the resort for you. But don’t worry, if you’re looking for some privacy and relaxation during your honeymoon, there are plenty of private and serene areas to get that R&R in. Green fees are included at Sandals Golf & Country Club, plus unlimited land and sea activities.
Sandals South Coast – Starting at $255 per night per person
Sandals South Coast is Jamaica’s #1 all-beachfront, all-ocean-view resort perfect for honeymoons. The French Beachfront Deluxe rooms start at $255 per night, per person. Each room has an impressive view of Jamaica’s untouched south coast. Enjoy the resort by relaxing by one of the three pools, or enjoying one of nine global gourmet restaurants.
Sandals Negril – Starting at $257 per night per person
Located on Jamaica’s famous seven-mile beach, you’ll love the beautiful white sand and aquamarine water at Sandals Negril. Lounge under a palm tree, go scuba diving, snorkeling, sailboating, wakeboarding, or any of the other included water activities on site. Some suites include a private pool or a swim-up lagoon so you never have to get out of the water if you don’t want to. The cheapest room at Sandals Negril is the Caribbean Deluxe, located in the Paradise building.
Best Sandals Resorts for Seclusion
Ochos Rio, Jamaica
Sandals Royal Plantation
Sandals Royal Plantation touts relatively few suites (72, to be exact) which means there just aren’t as many people around. Located between the beautiful mountains and tranquil waters of Jamaica, seclusion is guaranteed. Plus, there are two private beaches with personalized service, which you’ll be sure to enjoy.
Visitor ratings put this resort at the top of our list overall, but you’ll also have full exchange privileges to all other Sandals resorts. Right next door is Sandals Ochi which allows you access to all the restaurants, bars and other amenities at that resort if you are looking for more variety.
Best Sandals Resort for Foodies
It’s your honeymoon, so you are going to want to have some amazing food. All Sandals resorts will have several all-inclusive restaurant options, but there are some differences between the resorts. So if you are a foodie, I would choose either Sandals Royal Caribbean or Sandals Montego Bay.
Sandals Royal Caribbean
When you stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean you get the greatest variety of food available at any Sandals. First, you have a Thai restaurant on a private island and there is an Indian restaurant as well. When we dined at these restaurants, the servers encouraged us to try as much as we wanted and it was a perfect foodie experience.
You also get access to the restaurants at Sandals Montego Bay which is a 5-minute shuttle ride that together gives you 21 dining options.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Another great foodie option is the Sandals Grande St. Lucian, which touts 27 restaurants you’ll be able to try (12 onsite and 15 others at nearby resorts). A restaurant highlight is The Jerk Shack, where you’ll get to try delicious, authentic Jamaican jerk cuisine. The only issue here is that the resorts are up to 40 minutes apart so that may be more than you want to travel.
Best Sandals Honeymoon Resort for Luxury
All Sandals Resorts make for luxurious honeymoon getaways, but one stands out to me for good reason.
Sandals Royal Plantation
We consider Sandals Royal Plantation the most luxurious Sandals resort because it has it all: privacy, beauty, butlers, and great food. Any suite you choose will be serviced by butlers trained by the Guild of Professional English Butlers. There are two private beaches with personalized service and an English afternoon tea service on the terrace. Plus, the Caribbean’s only champagne and caviar bar. If that doesn’t say luxury I don’t know what does!
Best Sandals Resorts for Beaches
Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa
Located on Jamaica’s famous seven-mile beach, you’ll love the beautiful white sand and aquamarine water at Sandals Negril. Lounge under a palm tree, go scuba diving, snorkeling, sailboating, wakeboarding, or any of the other included water activities on site. Some suites include a private pool or a swim-up lagoon so you never have to get out of the water if you don’t want to.
Best Over Water Bungalow For Honeymoons
Sandals Resorts have been providing amazing accommodations and vacation experiences for decades, but more recently they have brought the iconic overwater bungalows of the Maldives and French Polynesia to the Caribbean. Located in both Jamaica and Saint Lucia, these overwater bungalows provide an amazing experience for guests.
While some guests have asked us which overwater bungalow at Sandals is the best, they are all wonderful. If you are looking for a honeymoon in an overwater bungalow, look at the resorts where they are available and choose the resort you link the most.
Newest Sandals Resorts for Your Honeymoon
If you are looking to experience a new Sandals Resort, there are new resorts and refurbished resorts, and new extensions to existing resorts.
The best place to go for a newer resort in 2022 is Sandals Curacao. Opening in June, Sandals Resort is on 3,000 acres along the Spanish Water Bay and will include 350 rooms and suites. Here, vacationers will find the first-ever Awa Seaside Bungalows with private pools, the first Kurason Island Suites overlooking a heart-shaped pool, and the unique Dos Awa 2-Level Infinity Pool.
With 11 all-new dining concepts, including three new food trucks, as well as the exclusive MINI Coopers available for complimentary use for select room categories. This is the first Sandals Resort in Curacao.
Sandals Royal Bahamian
This year, Sandals Royal Bahamian opened after a $55 million renovation. The 404-room resort now features new Beachfront Swim-Up Butler and Club Level Suites just steps from the ocean. For food, guests will enjoy 13 unique concepts including the all-new Coconut Grove which is a beachfront lounge shaded by coconut palms. You can also dine at any of the three new food trucks with traditional Bahamian fare at Coco Queen, Italian classics at Bahama Mamma Mia, and sweet treats and coffee at Sweets ‘N’ Tings.
