Couples can also admire the beauty of the ocean from their private outdoor Tranquility Soaking Tub for two or an overwater hammock—or just slip right into the water from your deck.

The extended private sun deck is also equipped with an outdoor shower, sun loungers, and a bistro set for two. You can choose from a selection of packages, including breakfast only, breakfast and dinner, or all-inclusive (which is certainly the best value for those who like a drink or two on an evening).

There are a total of 89 luxurious accommodations, including suites, island villas, and overwater bungalows. Their bungalows come in two categories: Bungalows with Shared Pool, which are small, private, and feature overwater hammocks, or the Grand Overwater Bungalows with Outdoor Jacuzzi, which offer a little more luxury.

This walkway is just off the sugar-white beach, so while you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away from anyone, you’ll be close to all the resort amenities.

These include the Caribbean’s longest river pool, Jamaica’s biggest zero-entry pool, whirlpools, unlimited water and land activities, 9 restaurants, 7 bars, a full fitness center, and a tranquil spa.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort-1
Royalton Antigua overwater bungalow living room

Chairman’s Overwater Bungalows at the Royalton, Antigua

Home to the only adults-only all-inclusive overwater bungalows in Antigua, the Royalton Antigua offers luxury stays in sleek and sophisticated accommodations.

At these overwater bungalows, you can expect to find private infinity plunge pools, jacuzzis, glass floor viewing panels, private butlers, and 24-hour room service as well as in-room aromatherapy, satellite TV, and twice daily re-stocked minibar. While children are welcome at this resort, the overwater bungalows are strictly adults-only.

Enjoy a selection of seven restaurants or a complimentary in-room private dinner and drinks service. Or sit back and relax at a cafe or one of the various themed bars around the resort, where you can enjoy live entertainment and premium cocktails.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Fiji

“Likuliku” means “calm waters,” and that’s what you’ll find at this idyllic adults-only Fiji resort nestled along a turquoise lagoon surrounded by a protected marine sanctuary with a fringed coral reef.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort’s overwater bungalows (called “bures” here) were Fiji’s first. Covered with thatched roofs, they have private decks with loungers (and ladders to the sea so you can swim or snorkel right from your bure!), king-sized beds, sitting areas, a refrigerator, plunge coffee and tea, window screens, ceiling fans, and air conditioning.

They also feature separate bathing pavilions and soaking tubs with incredible views. If you can tear yourself away from the amazing view, you’ll find plenty to do. The resort offers complimentary snorkeling equipment, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, and windsurfing, as well as an infinity pool, beach, walking and hiking trails, gym, and spa.

Veligandu Island, Maldives

Arguably the best-value all-inclusive overwater resort in the Maldives, Veligandu is a private Island where you can find both beach villas and water villas, some of which come with a private jacuzzi.

The quality of this resort is most definitely worth the price. With the traditional thatched roofing and modern, sleek interiors, you’re guaranteed a luxury stay at Veligandu Island. Villas are equipped with satellite TV, Nespresso coffee machines, king-size beds, air conditioning, fully-stocked minibars, and outdoor rain showers. Enjoy outdoor dining or an elegant and intimate restaurant before heading off to the 24-hour on-site beach bar where you can enjoy cocktails and live entertainment.

While this isn’t a completely adults-only resort though (children are welcome at some of the other accommodations on the Island), the overwater villas are adults only.

Velassaru, Maldives

Another popular choice in the Maldives, Velassaru is a great value 5-star resort. Like Veligandu Island it is open to families, but children are not permitted in their overwater bungalow accommodations, making this area completely adults-only.

If you’re looking for a lively atmosphere on your getaway, then this is the resort for you. With less of a “relaxed” feel and more of a “fun” vibe, it’s a great choice for young couples to spend their honeymoon.

Velassaru provides three different meal packages, to be enjoyed at five on-site restaurants. Alternatively, you can arrange a private dinner in a secluded spot via the concierge or private butler. The resort boasts a large infinity pool, excellent spa facilities, a gym, and tennis courts, as well as an onsite dive center and a variety of watersports including jet skis, kite surfing, paddleboard, and parasailing.
