Stella Island, Crete

Stella Island Resort in Crete is a 5-star luxury adults-only resort that is home to one of only two overwater bungalow accommodations in Europe. It also offers excellent spa facilities, some of the best food on the island, and many activities such as tennis and water sports.

You can choose from a selection of packages, including breakfast only, breakfast and dinner, or all-inclusive (which is certainly the best value for those who like a drink or two on an evening).

Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Fiji

“Likuliku” means “calm waters,” and that’s what you’ll find at this idyllic adults-only Fiji resort nestled along a turquoise lagoon surrounded by a protected marine sanctuary with a fringed coral reef.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort’s overwater bungalows (called “bures” here) were Fiji’s first. Another popular choice in the Maldives, Velassaru is a great value 5-star resort. Like Veligandu Island it is open to families, but children are not permitted in their overwater bungalow accommodations, making this area completely adults-only.
