Best Time to Visit Antigua

Antigua is considered a great getaway destination year-round, but you can narrow it down by deciding what is most important to you. Each season offers visitors a different experience of the island and different weather considerations.

The peak season runs between December and April. The weather is incredible and the island sees its biggest jump in visitors during this season. If you’re looking for the best beach weather and great water activities, then you’ll want to book your trip during this time. But be prepared to pay a little more for those activities and your accommodations.

If you’re looking for fewer people, then you’ll want to book your stay for sometime between September and October – the low season. There are a few more things to consider during this season, however. Many businesses and attractions shut down during the shoulder season to complete maintenance and renovations. Plus, there is an increased risk of hurricanes during this season.

The rest of the year – May to November – is considered the shoulder season, and it’s a great middle option for visitors. You’ll find lower prices for many activities and resort stays, but there can be an increase in rainfall.

And the end of this timeframe is peak hurricane season. The biggest risk of hurricanes comes in August and runs through October, so traveling before then offers the best prices and fewer crowds with no risk of hurricanes.

Antigua is a beautiful island and a wonderful destination for a quick getaway or a luxurious vacation. You’ll find great activities, fantastic weather, and amazing resorts. So, are you ready to book yet?
