Things to do in Costa Rica for a Honeymoon

So, how do you fill your days in Costa Rica? Fortunately, Costa Rica has no shortage of fun adventures and experiences. You can find just about everything from relaxing on the beach to white water rafting.

Take a look at some of the top activities to enjoy on a Costa Rica honeymoon.

Enjoy the Beaches

There are tons of amazing beaches throughout Costa Rica. Make sure you plan some time to relax on the beach. Costa Rica is a great place to take a surf lesson or go on a sunset cruise together.

Go Ziplining

Costa Rica is home to tons of zipline courses. When we honeymooned we went on the best zipline we have ever experienced. We went by waterfalls and over valleys with horses walking around. It was absolutely amazing.

White Water Rafting

There are several places in Costa Rica where you can enjoy white water rafting during some times of the year. It is a fun honeymoon activity that will be hard to forget.

Food Experiences

Costa Rica is known for many food experiences including coffee and chocolate. You can tour coffee plantations throughout the country and learn about the process of going from plant to your coffee cup.

You can also go on a chocolate tour to see how it is produced from tree to final product.

Is Costa Rica safe for honeymooners?

All travelers should be concerned about their safety when visiting unknown territory, whether it is big cities or smaller, more secluded areas. Fortunately, Costa Rica is not only safe, but it also hosts some of the friendliest people in the world.

Once you are there, their ‘Pura Vida’ lifestyle, perfectly combined with the lovely weather, is intoxicating and instantly makes you feel at home. Also, the Costa Rican government provides additional security resources in most areas frequented by tourists.

However, just like in any other destination, there might be problems. This is why personal safety is very important. So, to be safe, don’t display signs of wealth, such as wearing expensive watches or jewelry, and don’t carry large amounts of cash.

Also, keep your personal belongings close and even leave most of them in the hotel’s safe. At the same time, use reputable transportation services, and pay attention to your surroundings.

Costa Rica is a great honeymoon destination for any couple looking for some sun, sand, and adventure. With these resorts and packages, you can find the perfect place to stay and start your Costa Rica honeymoon off right. Then it’s all about finding the right activities, but that’s the fun part!

What people say about us

We worked with Mike to plan our perfect honeymoon in Greece — he was amazing the whole way through and put together a trip we will cherish for our lifetime.

He was thoughtful with our suggestions, and provided some of his own without every pushing us. He stayed within our budgetary means but made it feel like we had a budget twice the size.

Alex

Dan and Michelle were such a joy to work with! They really made our trip and cruise successful. Based on our needs they were able to help us identify and schedule what side trips and activities would best suit our interests.

After this trip I will be using a travel agent for future vacations…just can’t wait for the next one they help us plan!

Elizabeth

Honeymoon Always has been fantastic- our trips were 1000% better because of their help. The first time we used them we wanted to have a fun trip with some cultural experiences, good food, not too packed, and for a good price. It was fantastic and now we've used them for several trips in Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. Each trip was so different but they were able to make each one special and unique to our needs.
