Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean

If you are looking for a more affordable tropical getaway without going too far, the adult-only all-inclusive Sandals resorts in Jamaica or other islands in the Caribbean are a perfect choice. What makes Sandals resorts stand out is that they are all-inclusive so once you pay for your accommodations you do not need to spend any more. At a resort in Bora Bora, you will likely spend over $100 for a meal for two people for dinner. Cocktails by the pool can cost $30+ at the resorts. Also flying to an overwater bungalow in the Caribbean is much more affordable than a flight to Bora Bora.

At Sandals, all of that is included, as well as activities like scuba diving, paddleboarding, and snorkeling. They even have overwater bungalows at several Sandals resorts including Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Grande St Lucian, and Sandals South Coast.

The over-the-water bungalows feature glass floors for undersea views and a modern design with exotic palapa-style architecture. They come with patios featuring a soaking tub for two, an over-the-water hammock, an outdoor shower, and a suspended patio with a swim-up platform.

Each bungalow is serviced by a butler that can bring meals to your room, make reservations for you at one of the restaurants and help you with anything you may need during your stay.

These bungalows are not cheap and they do book up fast, but with everything that comes included in the price and the more affordable flights to Jamaica and other islands in the Caribbean, you can end up saving money compared to the price of visiting Bora Bora.

AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort, Malaysia

Open in 2011 and located off the coast just south of the Kuala Lumpur Airport, AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort is a Malaysian paradise very similar to Bora Bora but at much lower costs.

With prices starting at US$107 during the low season and US$132 during the busier times, this sensational resort offers romantic couples and adventurous groups the chance to relax and pamper themselves in stunning water villas that have all the luxury you dream without emptying your account.

However, instead of being perched over a calm lagoon, they are high above the ocean. Unlike the other destinations on this list, this resort doesn’t give you the chance to swim beneath the villas. But the landscape is breathtaking!

Gangehi Island Resort, Maldives

If Bora Bora is on your bucket list, but you can’t afford it right now, consider the Maldives. There, Gangehi Island Resort awaits you with lavish surprises. Located on a private island on the Indian Ocean, the resort is covered in a similar atmosphere but at better prices that begin at US$246 per night during the low season.

The upscale resort is surrounded by white-sand beaches and can only be accessed by seaplanes from Male. Its location makes it even more exciting for many couples.

Some of the overwater villas are located right off the island, while the others are a bit farther out on the pier. But, no matter your choice, an inviting restaurant with ocean views, spa treatments, yoga, snorkeling, and loaner canoes are some of the things you can enjoy at this luxurious resort.

Koro Sun Resort, Fiji

When Bora Bora is out of the question because of its high prices, Fiji is also a great choice. Koro Sun Resort is a splendid, posh beachfront retreat with various non-traditional room types and a romantic but thrilling vibe that will enhance your escapade.

While the edgewater accommodations are not way out in a lagoon, you will describe them as fantastic, especially since your bank account won’t have to suffer.

And, besides fancy accommodations, the resort awaits you with great dining, relaxing outdoor pools, a fabulous spa, and free sports and water activities, making it a perfect option for adventurous couples.

Koro Sun Resort Villa

Last but not least, prices begin at US$259, and Koro Sun offers half-board and full-board meal plans, helping you plan your trip according to your budget.

Anthony’s Key Resort, Roatan, Honduras

Located on the northwest coast of Roatan Island and overlooking the Caribbean Sea,  Anthony’s Key Resort is the perfect option for travelers who love all-inclusive resorts and dream of staying in an overwater bungalow but also want affordable vacations.

Roatan is a top destination for Caribbean lovers, and it is renowned for its turquoise waters and beautiful beaches. The beachfront family-run resort has bungalows on a jungle-covered hillside and an offshore key reached by taxi boat, welcoming couples, families, and honeymooners with rates that start at around $570 per night for two adults.

Low-key bungalows with shared or private decks, louvered or floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-air restaurant with sea views, an amazing spa, one outdoor pool, and a dive center are some of the high-end amenities you can enjoy.

Besides, there are various packages and activities like snorkeling, ziplining, and dolphin experiences, making it a great choice for couples who want to relax but also for adventurers.

What people say about us

We worked with Mike to plan our perfect honeymoon in Greece — he was amazing the whole way through and put together a trip we will cherish for our lifetime.

He was thoughtful with our suggestions, and provided some of his own without every pushing us. He stayed within our budgetary means but made it feel like we had a budget twice the size.

Alex

Dan and Michelle were such a joy to work with! They really made our trip and cruise successful. Based on our needs they were able to help us identify and schedule what side trips and activities would best suit our interests.

After this trip I will be using a travel agent for future vacations…just can’t wait for the next one they help us plan!

Elizabeth

Honeymoon Always has been fantastic- our trips were 1000% better because of their help. The first time we used them we wanted to have a fun trip with some cultural experiences, good food, not too packed, and for a good price. It was fantastic and now we've used them for several trips in Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. Each trip was so different but they were able to make each one special and unique to our needs.
