We stayed in the most affordable room and found it to be well furnished with a great layout and would choose the same room if we returned.
The Baha Mar Casino
The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Casino is the largest casino in the Caribbean, with 100,000 square feet of table games, slot machines, and live entertainment. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide an airy feel and ocean views, while grand touches like enormous crystal chandeliers evoke an elegant feel.
The casino feels very much like what you would find in vegas and it is well-maintained. My only complaint is there were not any poker tables.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Pools
There are 7 outdoor swimming pools at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and 4 hot tubs. Each of the outdoor pools has a unique design and feel, including fun and active or quiet and relaxing.
The pools have different features, including a huge cave, waterfalls, fountains, an aquarium, and a rock jumping cliff. All have lounge chairs, and some have daybeds and in-pool chaise lounges. For additional privacy and relaxation, you can book a private cabana.
We spent most of our time at the water park, but also really enjoyed the swimming pool that had a cave that had glass looking into an aquarium with sharks in it and platforms for “cliff jumping”.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is set on Nassau’s famous Cable Beach, a beautiful stretch of white sand and blue water. The beach at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is 3,000 feet long, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for relaxing.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Water Park
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar offers an amazing amenity and what we loved most —Baha Bay, a luxury waterpark right next door. Set across 15 acres of beachfront property, the water park at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is astonishing.
There are incredible waterslides, a lazy river, the Dueling Riptide water coaster, a straight-down freefall waterslide, a 500,000-gallon wave pool, a multi-person raft ride, a FlowCurl surf simulator, and a multi-person raft waterslide.
Baha Bay also has a variety of dining venues offering elevated cuisine choices, as well as The Pavilion, an oceanfront casino area. When you’re ready to relax, there are lounging areas and private cabanas available.
While we were there it was off-season and we could go down the slides as much as we wanted. There was always a short weight for the FlowRider, but nothing compared to the summer, spring break, or holiday time periods.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Wildlife Sanctuary
A unique amenity at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is the Beach Sanctuary, which has animal exhibits and a variety of wildlife that is native to The Bahamas, including sharks, sea turtles, tropical fish, flamingos, and more.
Every day there is a Flamengo walk where the flamengos go from one end of the resort to the other. It was a lot of fun to walk next to them and get close to say hi.
