If you have a little (or big!) sailor at home that is obsessed with bumper cars, then Royal Caribbean can make their dreams come true. In this article, we will discuss which Royal Caribbean ship has bumper cars plus other activities and entertainment you can find onboard
Royal Caribbean Ships That Have Bumper Cars
Taking your family on a Royal Caribbean cruise is something your kids will never forget. Not only is it a whole new experience, but you will never hear them say, “I’m bored.” As a parent, this means you can sit back and relax while the kids play or join in on the fun.
As mentioned, there are so many activities that your kids may not have time to try them all. However, for kids that are set on riding bumper cars on the cruise, here are the Royal Caribbean ships that will provide them with some amazing memories:
Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas
Anthem of the Seas is a thrill seekers’ paradise. Kids and adults can enjoy some of the top activities, including the Ripcord skydiving simulator, Guinness Book of World Records North Star, and bumper cars at the biggest indoor activity center ever to set sail.
If that’s not enough, families can play sports, go to the arcade, try out the surf simulator, go up the rock climbing wall, and more. In addition, there are kid and teen programs for educational purposes while the parents take a break at the lounge or bar.
This vessel sails from the southern part of the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands.
Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas
The Odyssey of the Seas sets sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and unlocks an unforgettable adventure across the eastern, western, and southern Caribbean. The vessel will sail through destinations such as Jamaica and Aruba. It will also take a stop CocoCay, which is home to the world’s tallest waterslide.
With similar activities to the Anthem of the Seas, there is something for everyone. In addition, families can battle in a game of glow-in-the-dark laser tag or immerse themselves in a 4D virtual reality experience.
Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas
Offering Alaska, Hawaii, and South Pacific cruises, the Ovation of the Seas has diverse landscapes and destinations for families to explore.
This ship has the same activities as Anthem of the Seas, so while kids are on the bumper cars, adults can check out the robotic bartenders at the Bionic Bar.
Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas
Quantum of the Seas has cruises leaving from Seattle and Brisbane, Australia ports that sail through Alaska and the South Pacific. You can expect the same activities as the vessels mentioned above, including bumper cars, surf simulator, Ripcord skydive simulator, and more.
Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas
Explore the wonders of Asia by setting sail on the Spectrum of the Seas. On this cruise, passengers can choose to explore the historic wonders of Singapore, the wonders of Malaysia, or the iconic limestone cliffs and crystal clear waters of Thailand.
Families can expect bumper cars and other familiar activities and entertainment, as well as unique experiences such as a Sky Pad virtual reality trampoline.
Are Bumper Cars Free on Royal Caribbean?
Now that you know which Royal Caribbean ship has bumper cars, you may be wondering if they are free to enjoy. The good news is that the bumper cars and other activities at SeaPlex are included in your cruise fare.
In addition, other activities and entertainment are included. However, there are some things that aren’t included on a Royal Caribbean cruise. For example, shore excursions will be an extra charge. You can save money by going through a third-party vendor at the port, as you may pay extra by going through the cruise line.
Other extra costs to be aware of include but are not limited to alcohol, spa treatments, fitness classes, specialty restaurants, and Zone Zero virtual reality on Odyssey of the Seas. Since alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks add up, we recommend purchasing a drink package before boarding the ship.
How Old Do You Have to Be to Ride the Bumper Cars on Royal Caribbean Ships?
For safety reasons, children need to meet a certain age and height requirement to ride bumper cars on Royal Caribbean ships. Children must be at least five years old and 107 cm (42 inches) tall to ride with a guardian. In order to drive alone, kids need to be at least eight years and 122 cm (48 inches) tall.
Are Royal Caribbean Cruises All-Inclusive?
Like many ocean cruises, Royal Caribbean does not have all-inclusive fares. Instead, you have two options; you can either buy a food and drink package or pay as you go.
For drinks, there are different packages to choose from, including the water package, classic soda package, refreshments package, and deluxe package. The deluxe package is the only one that includes alcohol.
Like the drink packages, passengers can choose from the 3 Restaurant Package, 4 Restaurant Package, 5 Restaurant Package, and Unlimited Dining Package. There are complimentary restaurants that are included in the fare, but getting a food package gives you more food options.
