There are three Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia and they are all far from the airport. Whether going to Sandals Grande St Lucian, Sandals Halcyon Beach, or Sandals Regency La Toc, you have three options to get to the resort.

Sandals Provided Transfers or Private Driver
For those who prefer a traditional approach, land transfers are available. Guests can choose between a Sandals Resort transfer that is included in their stay or arrange for a private service. Saint Lucia’s winding roads pass through quaint villages, and lush rainforests, and offer occasional glimpses of the ocean.
Visitors regularly complain about the windy roads causing car sickness which is not a great way to start your vacation. If you have motion sickness, ask your driver if you can sit up front to look out the front window during your drive.
Distance to Airport
Sandals Regency La Toc – 75 – 90 minutes
Sandals Halcyon Beach – 75 – 90 minutes
Sandals Grande St Lucian – 90+ minutes
Helicopter Experience (Fastest)
For those eager to start their vacation with a thrill, a helicopter transfer offers an unforgettable aerial journey. Not only does this mode of travel significantly reduce the time taken to reach the resort, but it also provides panoramic views of Saint Lucia’s picturesque landscapes.

Consider your helicopter ride the first excursion of your trip as you experience a bird’s-eye view of the island’s lush rainforests, majestic mountains, and azure Caribbean waters.
The helicopter costs around $200 per person. Each helicopter seats 6 passengers so you will be places with other couples for the 12-15 minute ride. You are driven to the helicopter pad and your luggage is taken to the resort separately, arriving with the Sandals shuttle. After arriving at the airport you are then driven to the resort you are staying at which can be a 5-20 minute drive.
The Island Ferry Adventure (Our Choice)

The best way to get to the resort in our opinion is taking the ferry. You can start your vacation off right with a fun and relaxed boat ride where you can see the beautiful coast of Saint Lucia with a chance to see dolphins.
Each mode of transport to the Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia offers a distinct experience and cost. Whether it’s the efficiency of the helicopter ride, the leisurely charm of a ferry journey, or the affordable road trip, the choice depends on what you seek to experience on your way to paradise.
We took the ferry to the resort and returned by helicopter and those were some of the highlights of the trip.
