Ambergris Cay Resort

This is one of the most exclusive and expensive all-inclusive family resorts in Turks & Caicos, but it’s well worth it. Initially a residential community, Ambergris Cay began inviting guests to experience the utmost in luxury on its sandy shores in 2019. Guests need to be flown into this private island resort, which has only 10 suites and 7 freestanding villas on its 1,100 acres, giving visitors a rare glimpse of an unspoiled Turks & Caicos shoreline. 

Premium all-inclusive rates here are astronomical, averaging at $6,500 per night, and include unlimited gourmet dining and high-end spirits. The restaurant is a la carte, with the menu changing frequently to showcase local in-season ingredients, and culinary staff will do their best to accommodate off-menu requests. 

Beachfront accommodations are chic and sophisticated, with beechwood tables and overstuffed, bright white couches. All suites come with an Island Host and a private plunge pool and are designed to be a perfect oasis for two, but bedding for children under 10 can be added upon request. You can also choose a home or villa with 3 to 6 bedrooms.

As part of the rate, nearby activities and amenities include plenty of hiking trails to the island’s beaches, non-motorized watersports equipment including onshore fishing, electric bikes, tennis courts and lessons, and teacher-led yoga sessions.

Sailrock South Caicos

Sailrock South Caicos is built in a friendly and safe residential community on the island of South Caicos, a favorite among snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts because of its location on one of the largest reef systems in the world. To reach the resort, guests need to take a scenic flight over the azure Caribbean from Providenciales. Both the flight and airport transfers are included in the rate, along with a breakfast credit, a welcome cocktail, and a special surprise amenity upon arrival.

Their 4-night “All-Inclusive & All-Luxury” package, available until January 2, 2024, is the most popular. Its $980+ price tag includes a breakfast credit; lunch, dinner, and high tea every day of your stay; select drinks, transport to the island; and airport transfers. 

One and two-bedroom suites are conveniently located in a building at the center of the resort. Villas are scattered throughout the property and come with 2-5 bedrooms, private outdoor space, an indoor living room and fully equipped kitchen if you prefer to do your own cooking. 

Villa Del Mar

For a luxury experience without an astronomical price tag, check out Villa Del Mar, a collection of condos located a short distance from Grace Bay Beach. Enjoy a free continental breakfast poolside and meet the other temporary residents of this 42-suite piece of paradise, then park yourself on a lounger on the private beach while the kids splash in the warm, blue water nearby. 

Grocery stores, souvenir shops, a deli, and lots of restaurants and bars are all within a 10-minute walk from the resort. Stock up on groceries and let the resort staff take care of the rest. Two brothers, Kerone and Lerone, cater to guests on the pool deck and beach, offering pool and beach-side drink service from the Tiki Bar and providing floaties and beach toys for the kids. 

East Bay Resort

If you’re after the desert-island experience, a (slightly) more accessible option is East Bay Resort on the beautiful island of South Caicos. Almost all of their 86 suites come with oceanfront views, and guests have free use of kayaks and SUPs for gliding across the calm Caribbean waters. 

Rates include transfers to and from the airport and use of the local shuttle during your stay. Rooms come with a fully equipped kitchenette, but all-inclusive meal plans for their buffet restaurant BLU Bar & Grill are available as well. For unlimited drinks head to Splash, the swim-up bar located in the oceanfront pool. 

During your stay, snorkel with sea turtles in the crystal clear Caribbean water off East Bay Beach thanks to the free use of snorkel masks and fins. Turks and Caicos has some of the best scuba diving in the Caribbean and, for an added expense, staff at East Bay Resort can arrange a world-class diving excursion to the South Caicos Wall, a 7,000-foot-deep hollow in the Caribbean Sea less than a mile from the shoreline. 

Blue Haven Resort

Built on the tip of the Leeward Coast in Providenciales, Blue Haven Resort is one of 3 sister properties in Turks & Caicos. If you’re looking for a luxury all-inclusive set apart from the hustle and bustle of Grace Bay, Blue Haven might be perfect for you. This place is peaceful and close-knit, but still close enough to Grace Bay (about 10 minutes by car) for you to have a night out away from the resort. 

There isn’t much of interest in the immediate vicinity apart from the TCI ferry port, which makes Blue Haven Resort an excellent jumping-off point for exploring nearby islands. However, some guests who were hoping for a white-sand beach have been underwhelmed by the resort’s man-made beach, which, to be fair, is still warm, clear, and calm enough for swimming and paddling. 

There are two restaurants on the resort grounds. A restaurant called Fire and Ice faces the ocean and pool and is open for a buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner. The dinner menu serves mainly seafood with Italian or Greek flavors. Salt Bar and Grill is open for lunch and dinner and leans heavily on Western fare, with a few local but familiar options sprinkled in. 

Beaches Turks & Caicos

The largest Beaches resort in the company’s portfolio, Beaches Turks & Caicos covers 12 miles of Grace Bay Beach and has a huge 45,000-square-foot waterpark, more than 35 restaurants and bars, 10 swimming pools, and 5 villages of accommodation buildings designed to emulate the architecture in France, Italy, the Caribbean, and Florida’s Key West.

Other activities include horseback riding, cooking classes, tours of the huge botanical garden, and instructor-led yoga classes. During the evenings, guests can socialize and play games around the outdoor fireplace. 

The Sands at Grace Bay

Another option for families who prefer some homey touches to a true all-inclusive is The Sands at Grace Bay, one of the most well-known resorts on the island. Stylish contemporary 1-and 2-bedroom suites come with full kitchens, and Junior Suites come with a mini-fridge, toaster, microwave, and tableware. On-site dining options are affordable and include plenty of kid-friendly options, and there is a grocery store and several eateries to suit every taste just a short taxi ride away. Breakfast is included in the rate.

Alexandra Resort is a mid-range all-inclusive family resort in Turks & Caicos located on the iconic Grace Bay Beach. With only 90 rooms and suites and friendly, welcoming staff, the ambience is relaxed and inviting, the epitome of a Caribbean holiday. 

Located in Providenciales, Alexandra Resort is just a short walk from locally owned shops and restaurants. Sunny studios and suites come with kitchens or kitchenettes if you prefer to do a little of your own cooking, but with all-inclusive rates and a restaurant that gets great reviews, you certainly don’t have to. The menu at Alexandra’s eatery, called Asu on the Beach, has quite a few Western options as well as some local dishes and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There’s also a hut right outside of Asu that serves fresh stone-baked pizzas. Meal plans can be added to rates on a per-day basis. 

The pool, which includes a swim-up bar, is small and surrounded by a beautiful garden and some sun loungers. There is also a small jacuzzi on the main pool deck. On the beach, resort guests can borrow non-motorized watersports equipment and Hobie Cats for free.
