If you’re looking for a place to relax and get away from it all, a nude beach or resort in Mexico may be the perfect place for you. They offer an escape where you can leave your clothes at home and be one with nature!
Desire Resorts
Desire Resort & Spa really takes things up a notch. The resort is not only clothing optional but really leans on with sensual offerings. The hotel is located on a scenic white sand beach surrounded by turquoise waters and mild breezes, making it perfect for some time in paradise.
It is well known as an adult playground where not only is nudity allowed, but there are also areas where public sex is allowed including a “sin room” and in the hot tub. Keep in mind that it is known to be more of a party resort, so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you.
There are two Desire resorts, the Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort and Desire Riviera Maya Resort.
Zipolite Beach
One of the most popular nude beaches in Mexico is Playa Zipolite. This beach is located on the Pacific coast and is known for its natural beauty and seclusion. It’s also one of the few places in Mexico where nudity is officially allowed and was the first beach where it became legal.
Zipolite’s beautiful beach hugs a 2-mile (3 Km) stretch of white sand with clear warm waters, backed by lush tropical vegetation and coconut palms that surround the town on all sides. The ocean waves here are ideal for body-surfing and there are few dangerous rocks or reefs, making it popular with swimmers. The town is also becoming increasingly popular with backpackers because of the surreal ambiance, laid-back vibe, friendly locals, cheap food and proximity to really interesting ruins.
Zipolite has long been known as a ‘Gringo Gulch’, with many foreigners finding it easy to make friends here. It’s often called Mexico’s last ‘hippie paradise’, and being a nude beach in Mexico definitely contributes to that reputation.
There are several resorts that are clothing optional in the area.
Nude Zipolite is clothing optional with 25 comfortable rooms an outdoor pool, hanging beds on the beach, beach chairs, a restaurant, bar, and spa services. You can be nude at the pool, room terraces, lounge chairs, or pretty much anywhere but the restaurant where guests will need to put on some shorts, sarong, or a towel.
Casablanca Guest House is just steps from Camaron Beach. The guest house features rooms with kitchens, a salted infinity pool, a shared lounge, and a garden.
Villa Aikia is an adult online clothing optional hotel. It offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for relaxing and refreshing on vacation.
Desire Riviera Maya Resort is a clothing-optional resort is located on the Riviera Maya and offers all-inclusive packages that include access to its nude beach.
Punta Serena, Jalisco
Punta Serena is an adult-only, all-inclusive, resort located at Pacific Beach in Jalisco. The resort has a wonderful view of the beach below from the cliffs where the resort sits. Close to the resort is a clothing-optional beach, but the management tends to change its policy for the pool on site.
Azulik, Tulum
Azulik boasts a wonderful position a couple of miles north of Cantu Airport, an affordable vacation destination located along a quaint, golden-sand beach. Tulum is known for its hippie and free-minded vibe; therefore no surprise some surprisingly relaxed hotels are devoted entirely to nudists.
Azulik offers a very exclusive and secluded beach that is clothing-optional with a private beach club, IMIX, where you can relax on a sunbed, enjoy delicious drinks and food.
Hidden Beach Resort, Riviera Maya
Hidden Beach Resort is an inclusive nudist paradise with a pristine beach with high walls surrounding its grounds. The general vibe is very laid back and relaxed. This is a resort where most guests take advantage of the clothing-optional policy.
Playa Sonrisa
Playa Sonrisa is the only clothing-optional, naturalist resort in the Costa Maya. The couples-only resort is very laid back and has an expansive beach area. The beach area is shaded by some palm trees and there is a large dock with shaded loungers at the end. There is an onsite restaurant with affordable local food and plenty of activities like Snorkelling, Scuba diving, Kayaking, SUP, and Nekkid Bocce.
