Cozumel is full of fun activities you can do. After doing our research we decided to do something we couldn’t do at the other stops on our trip. We found an excursion with This is Cozumel that included an ATV tour through the jungle to a cave we could jump into and then snorkel in the ocean.
After finding our guide at a meeting point we headed first to the ATVs. We had a safety briefing and made it on our way through the jungle.
For what felt like 20 minutes we zoomed through the forest. This was honestly much more thrilling than I expected.
After our bumpy and exciting drive, we made our way to a cave that had a pool underground. While it didn’t smell great, the jump in from above took our breath away.
After jumping in a couple of times, we made our way to back to the start where a taxi was ready waiting for us to take us to the ocean. As we snorkeled, the guides brought in a bit of fish food so the gorgeous fish surrounded us, as a photographer took underwater photos.
The guides then invited us to rinse off and take a dip in their gorgeous private pool overlooking the ocean! We ordered quesadillas and chips and guacamole and had the time of our lives recreating some of the onboard performances we saw.
If you make it to Cozumel for the day, we highly recommend you enjoy some time on an ATV ride.
