Croatia Honeymoons

If you’re looking for a honeymoon destination that offers a blend of breathtaking nature, fascinating history, and interesting culture, then Croatia should be a definite consideration. Keep reading for some ideas on where and how to spend your romantic getaway in this beautiful balkan country.

Dubrovnik

Tourism in Croatia has definitely grown due to Game of Thrones, the popular HBO series that was partly filmed in Dubrovnik and other coastal areas. However, it’s not just the series that has people heading there—Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful towns in Croatia, if not in Europe.

With old cobblestoned streets, traditional Balkan restaurants, and activities offered in the crystalline Adriatic sea, Dubrovnik is a charming and enticing place for you to spend some time during your special getaway. Watch dolphins cruise through the warm, blue waters and treat yourself to a candle-lit, beachside dinner. You could also take a short ferry to visit the nearby Lokrum Island or take the cable car up the mountain, where you can visit the Museum of the Homeland War or go on a buggy safari.

Dubrovnik Honeymoon

Whether you’re Game of Thrones fans or simply lovers of historical beauty, Dubrovnik should definitely be on your honeymoon bucket list.

Located along the popular coastline of Dalmatia, Zadar is the oldest continuously inhabited city of Croatia. Nearby is the Sun Salutation, a series of solar panels forming a scaled depiction of our solar system.
