Lying east of Salt Lake City in Utah, Park City is known for its mountain resorts and snow-glazed valleys. It is a perfect place for a quick honeymoon after your wedding. Take your romantic escapade in Utah to a whole new level by experiencing world-class skiing, exquisite meals, and luxurious spa treatments. I am not exaggerating when I say it is a perfect package for honeymooners! You have your adrenaline-rushing sports, breathtakingly beautiful scenery featuring marvelous mountains and alpine greenery, fine-dining restaurants, and sophisticated shopping areas.

Where to Stay In Park City

Park City is full of amazing resorts and hotels.  While for most trips I recommend practical accommodations, for Park City, its worth a splurge. Some of your best memories of your time in the city may be spent at the jacuzzi or spa together, recovering from a long day on the slopes or by a warm fireplace with an amazing view of the mountains in the morning or afternoon. Here are a few recommendations for where to stay.

Westgate Park City Resort & Spa

When we were in Park City, we stayed at the Westgate Park City Resort & Spa. It offers several amenities making it a perfect Park City resort for honeymooners. It is ideally located in the base of Canyons Village, offering ski-in/ski-out access, direct access to lifts, hiking trails, and a myriad of restaurants and shops.

You’ll find suite accommodations with oversized beds and in-room hot tubs. The Forbes-rated Serenity spa offers a range of romantic treatments and the award-winning fine dining restaurant, Edge Steakhouse, offers the perfect indulgent honeymoon evening. We loved swimming in the indoor/outdoor pools and in the adults only relaxation pool with a waterfall.

Stein Eriksen Lodge

Stein Eriksen Lodge just celebrated its 35th winter season and is known for being Utah’s first Forbes Five-Star property. Here you will find Utah’s only Forbes Five-Star spa and have 3 award-winning restaurants and a slopeside coffee shop on site. They have been recognized as Park City’s eminent romantic lodge, offering stunning mountain views of Deer Valley Resort and the Wasatch Mountain range.

If you are looking to celebrate your honeymoon in a luxurious alpine setting with unrivaled service and the highest attention to detail from a sincere and friendly staff, then Stein Eriksen Lodge will not disappoint. We strive to make every guest’s stay special and memorable.

We stopped by Stein Eriksen Lodge to check out the cozy Glitretind restaurant and can say we found the service amazing, the food delicious, and while it is not cheap, I consider it a good value.

Goldener Hirsch

At Goldener Hirsh Inn, you can spend a lavish honeymoon in the comfort of a cozy suite, travertine showers, and spa services. The European-style ski hotel sits under the looming shadow of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains and is only a few steps away from the Silver Lake Express. The Washington School House Hotel

Recently I went to Park City, Utah on a romantic trip with my husband. We stayed in a hotel called The Washington School House Hotel. It is an old-school house renovated into a boutique luxury hotel. There are tons of unique things on the property that make it special, such as an Olympic torch outdoor fireplace. Things to do in Park City together

Spend some of your vacation cozying up by the fireplace in the comfort of your hotel or rental home.  This is one of the reasons why your accommodations can make a big difference in how much you enjoy your trip. If you are there in the winter, you are going to love the late evenings and mornings spent together cozy inside.

If you want to hit the slopes, December through March is the best time to visit. We have been to Park City Mountain Resort and it is our favorite ski resort in the area.  The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is a variety of slopes for any difficulty. Our last trip was at the beginning of the season and we were lucky that there was a lot of snow to enjoy when we were there.

Besides skiing, go on a moonlight snowshoe tour, a sleigh ride, or try some of the amazing restaurants. If you don’t have the gear or don’t want to worry about gear, you can always rent it.  On our last trip, Aloha rentals got us suited up and ready to go.

For a unique experience go for a ride on the bobsled course that was built for the Olympics. To gain an insight into the city’s history, visit Park City’s historic district which has a variety of buildings built in Queen Anne, Spanish Revival, and Victorian styles.

In the summer you can enjoy a ride on Alpine Coaster is a must for thrill-seekers. Glide down the mountain enveloped by the sublime beauty of Park City. Enjoy the outdoors be hiking the beautiful trails or mountain biking.
