What is the Average Honeymoon Cost?

How much do couples pay for a honeymoon? While many estimates range anywhere from about $2500 to $8000, based on the 350 clients we booked honeymoons for in 2022, the average honeymoon cost is about $5100.

What affects the average honeymoon cost?

As with any type of vacation, your honeymoon cost will vary depending on multiple factors. The total price of a honeymoon depends on the length of your trip, your honeymoon destination, what time of year you go, the resort you choose, and what types of meals and activities you include.

Generally speaking, the further away from your home you travel, the more you’ll have to spend on transportation costs; a European honeymoon tends to cost more than a U.S. or Caribbean honeymoon due to more expensive flights.

Also, the destination you choose will have a “high season,” a “low season,” and a “shoulder season;” prices will range depending on which season you go.

In this article, we’ll answer the question of how much does the average honeymoon cost? by giving you estimates of the average honeymoon cost for a one-week trip to several different types of honeymoon destinations, including average Europe honeymoon costs, average Caribbean honeymoon costs, and average U.S. honeymoon costs. We will include some average all-inclusive honeymoon costs as well.

Average All-Inclusive Honeymoon Cost

All-inclusive honeymoons are popular because you know upfront what your total budget will be. Since all meals (and usually all drinks) are included, as well as some activities, you don’t have to worry about what anything costs while you’re on your trip and can just relax and truly enjoy your honeymoon.

What is the average cost of an all-inclusive honeymoon? This will depend on what resort you choose, where it’s located, and what time of year you go. That being said, an average 7-night honeymoon at a Sandals all-inclusive resort costs around $6400.

For a lower average cost, look into different brands like Secrets or Couples resorts and look to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Jamaica where you can find packages around $2500+.

Each of the categories below has all-inclusive options so you can see what the average cost would be for an all-inclusive honeymoon in that destination.
